NINE INCH NAILS: South American Tour Changes/Cancellations

September 17, 2008

NINE INCH NAILS has issued the following update:

"Due to unforeseen technical issues, NINE INCH NAILS' October 15 show at the Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela has been moved up a week to October 8. Tickets for the October 15 show will of course be honored at the new date.

"The same issues have unfortunately forced the cancellation of the following shows:

Oct. 07 - Sao Paulo, BR - Via Funchal
Oct. 09 - Porto Alegre, BR - Pepsi on Stage
Oct. 12 - Bogota, COL - BIMA Mall

"Ticketholders seeking refunds should contact the Via Funchal and Pepsi on Stage box offices for Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre respectively, while those seeking refunds on Bogota tickets should contact Tu Boleta. Fans who purchased nin.com pre-sale tickets will receive a refund."

NINE INCH NAILS is currently touring behind the band's latest album, "The Slip", which is available as both a free download and a paid physical CD.

NINE INCH NAILS frontman Trent Reznor has revealed to the Los Angeles Times that the band's 2007 conceptual album, "Year Zero", could possibly become a series for HBO. Reznor told the paper, "I just pitched it to HBO in L.A. It went great. Ideally, we're trying to get them to do a two-year limited series. I prefer that over a film. We would have a second ARG (alternate reality game) tying into the second album and ties into the series and they all happen together."

Reznor admitted he'd love to see "Year Zero" translated to the screen, saying, "It's the most exciting thing on the horizon. It's the thing that when I wake up in the morning it makes me say, 'God it would be cool if that happened.'This is my grand ambition."
